Matthew Clouse, Daum Museum registrar and exhibitions coordinator, checks a LED light fixture Wednesday after adding a screen to soften the lighting for the SFCC Student Show. Clouse said there were approximately 45 lights used for this particular show in the Goddard Gallery. Lenses for the lights vary from a general lens, to a frosted lens for soft light and a spread lens to extend the light. Clouse added that flood and spot lights are also used for lighting an exhibit.
Daum Museum Director and Curator Tom Piché looks over a ink-and-acrylic painting titled “Beginning,” by SFCC non-traditional student Delores Garrison. “This is a nice piece,” Piché, who organized hanging of the show, said. After Piché organized the artwork, SFCC Art Instructors Paul Allen and Don Luper hung the show. University of Missouri-Columbia Professor of Art Bede Clarke juried the exhibit late Wednesday morning.
