April 9-10 Police Reports

This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 6

3 p.m.: Christina M. Garrett, 49, of Ionia, was arrested in the 1300 block of South Limit Avenue on charges of possession of synthetic narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license. Jeffery L. Waters, 51, no address given, was arrested on a charge of identity theft. A subject called SPD stating they believed they had witnessed a drug transaction in Liberty Park. The witness followed the vehicle to the 1300 block of South Limit Avenue. The male suspect gave officers a name that was not his given name.

7:24 p.m.: LaQuesha Monique Jamerson, 31, of the 1800 block of South Barrett Avenue, was arrested at her residence on charges of second degree domestic assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. The suspect reportedly attempted to assault a subject with a knife.

11:16 p.m.: John Dennis Clevelan Cardwell, 41, of the 2900 block of South Marshall Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of East Howard Street and North Emmet Avenue on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers conducted a traffic stop after a vehicle stopped abruptly in the middle of Howard Street, obstructing traffic. Investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

April 7

12:34 a.m.: Alvin Odell Brown Jr., 53, no address given, was arrested in the 1700 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of misusing 911. Officers found the subject was intoxicated and had no emergency. During the incident, the subject continued to call 911.

2:32 p.m.: Wayne T. Lion, 34, no address given, was arrested in the 600 block of West Broadway Boulevard on charges of first degree burglary, stealing and driving with a revoked/suspended license. Two 42-inch flat screen TVs were reported stolen March 2 from a hotel. After an investigation, the suspect was identified and arrested.

2:32 p.m.: Wayne Thomas Lion, 34, of the 500 block of West Fourth Street, was arrested in the 4300 block of Wisconsin Avenue on a charge of stealing. The suspect reportedly put clothing items on under his clothing and left the business without paying.

3:54 p.m.: Angela R. Asbury, 40, of the 400 block of East Sixth Street, was issued a municipal court summons in the 600 block of North Missouri Avenue for stealing. The suspect reportedly stole $233 from the drive-thru cash register of a business over two separate days.

Incidents

April 6

11:56 a.m.: A sex crime that occurred about 30 days ago was reported near the intersection of the 1200 block of East Seventh Street and Engineer Avenue.

6:42 p.m.: A large machete-style knife, valued at $39.99, was reported stolen from a business in the 200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The suspect ran from the business before officers arrived.

April 7

12:37 p.m.: A subject reportedly forced their way into a residence in the 400 block of West Sixth Street and threw red paint on the kitchen floor and the carpeting in two rooms.

2:31 p.m.: A dog was reported stolen in the 500 block of West Fifth Street.

Arrests

April 6

9:22 a.m.: Fabel Camacho Gonzalez, 37, of Fort Collins, Colorado, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of second degree drug trafficking.
