The Missouri Paint Horse Club Labor of Love Show was hosted this past weekend at the Coliseum on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. Ariana Horton, of Easton, Kansas, was warming up her horse Zip Senta Heathen on Saturday for the English Class. Chris Mensch, of Foxeye Ranch in Lawrence, Kansas, said she brought Horton plus three other young people to participate in the show. She added that Zip loves to ham it up for the camera. The show will continue through today.

Madelyn Enko, of Leawood, Kansas, trots her horse A Little Bit Naughty, around the Youth Livestock Arena, north of the Coliseum, during the Missouri Paint Horse Show on Saturday. Enko traveled with Ariana Horton and other youth from Kansas to participate. During the weekend show she would be participating in the English, Western, Ranch and Trail categories.

Several participants in the Missouri Paint Horse Show warmed-up their horse in the Coliseum before judging for the English category at noon. Camie Geisman, center, of Wentzville, trots her horse Lennie around the the building Saturday morning. Her horse trainer, John Kayser, of John Kayser Show Horses in Edwardsville, Illinois, said he had five clients participating in the show this holiday weekend.

Kevin Ryan, owner of Dardenne Creek Stables in St. Charles, walks his paint horse, Zeus, around the Coliseum on Saturday. Ryan owns the stables with his wife Nanci, who was also showing paint horses this weekend.
